Welcome our New LiL Additions to the Campground. We haven’t named them yet, but will be shortly. We are keeping them nice and warm inside until they are able to come out but we are looking forward to having them. We may have Ducks soon too!
Come check out the NEW Pickleball Court. We had such a great turnout for the Pickleball Grand Opening. Lots of learning, practicing and laughs. You can check out paddles and balls in the office.
Coming Soon…Pickleball Court. We are extending the Basketball Court into a Pickleball Court. Troy is super excited. We will upload pictures when finished. Here are the work in progress pictures…
We can not forget about our lovely pets on our beautiful campground…Chickens and Pigs. We have Halo and Ruby (pigs) and a great assortment of chicken. Don’t forget about that lovely Rooster. He will make certain you hear him. (RIP Rooster…he had to be laid to rest 12/20/2017)
Chickens weren’t very photogenic today. They were all too busy roaming the campground.
We have just added a great NEW amenity for your beloved pets. Come let your dogs run their energy out in our Dog Park Run. They will love it.
Almost There……….. I know we keep saying that, but man’o’man this is taking much longer than we expected. Safe to say and we are happy to admit that we really did under-estimate the length of time it would take to get everything completed – and we’re just talking about getting the construction finished. There has been no ‘beautifying’ done yet!!
We are still plodding along though and are excited to get everything completed so we can spend some more time outside getting the exterior looking nicer.
Quick Update – The clubhouse is finished, just waiting on the plasterers to finish the taping of the drywall and then the painting will start – this week! If all goes to plan, the clubhouse will be ready to use by guests by June 1st.
The pool is regularly being enjoyed by everyone and is a refreshing temperature of 86 degrees.
The store is coming along………. we decided a little while ago to hold off on the store until the clubhouse was complete. The general consensus was that the clubhouse was needed first.
This morning we met with a few of the campers out on the boardwalk to witness the final shuttle launch. We could see it – very faintly!! haha But hey, if you have never seen a launch before (like myself) then Im extremely happy to say I have now. My hope is that one day ‘they’ realize how much the space program means to many Americans and people worldwide, that they consider starting it up again.
** If you’re looking for somewhere to park for the next few months while waiting for the northern states to warm up again, then check out our special for the months of May and June. $100 of the first month to new monthly campers.
Gas prices are high so maybe you could consider leaving your RV here for the summer while you head up north. We offer storage at an extremely low price. $1 per day, no minimum stay, just pay up-front and head back home without pulling or driving the ‘gas guzzlers’ too. Worth considering, if not for this year, but next year maybe.
For now, thats all I have. We really hope to see some of you over the summer months. We love having people here and would really love to see some more tent campers coming in – park the RV at home and come back with your tent!! Just for something different!! Take Care everyone and enjoy the summer 🙂
Well of course its been a while since we last posted on here, but plenty has been happening. First of all I just wanted to let everyone know that we have yet to complete the new clubhouse!! 🙁 Unfortunately Camden County made it a little more difficult than we expected to get our permits through and, as anyone that’s ever tried to get permits knows, feet were dragged in getting it all pushed through and approved. Best part is that we are now set to go full steam ahead on Monday March 21, 2011. We are a fair bit behind schedule and we really want to apologize, but we are very happy with what will eventually be a really nice club/pool house for use in late May 🙂
Our office and store is still coming along and again we are waiting approval from the health department before we can start to sell anything. We also need to purchase some industrial fridges, store shelving etc. We understand that its all a process and have to be patient in getting everything achieved – something we’re not very good at doing.
Our biggest goal is to have all of the construction aspects of our plans 100% completed and ready for use by the time the Fall season opens. Once all of the construction is all said and done, then we cant wait to move onto our next project of laying new gravel down on the roads and putting in some new drainage. Ahhh the list goes on and on, but we know we will get there eventually and it will once again be a very up-to-date and wonderful place to stay (not that’s it not wonderful now!! Haha)
Cant wait to see you all again and we want to thank everyone that has stayed with us in the past 6 weeks and been so patient with us. This has all been a great big learning experience for us and we just hope that we didn’t look to flustered and exhausted when we met you. All we know is that we have had so much fun already and just really look forward to having Pot Luck Dinners, Cards Nights, Bingo, Trivial Pursuit (something Troy and I are terrible at but know we should be able to choose some of you as great team mates!!) and more.
We’ll keep you posted and hopefully get some photos up here soon too. Some before, some during and then eventually some finished pics. Happy Camping 🙂
Well here we are, 2 weeks after taking over this great little RV Park in south east Georgia – where the people are wonderful, the areas have plenty to offer and the weather is pretty much perfect for mid February.
Since moving in we have already moved the old office into the new office, which gives our building a new entrance just for office and future store use. We haven’t painted or put on all the frills just yet, but give us some time and it will all be finished off perfectly.
The old and very weathered pavilion has been stripped back to the basics again and we have just started (yesterday) to build the brand new clubhouse. This huge meeting room will be approximately 17′ wide by 40′ long – making it a great place for rallies, parties or just good old pot luck dinners, bingo nights and karaoke.
The room will also have a full kitchen with full size oven and stove, fridge/freezer, sink and cabinetry.
We will have a great sized storage shed to house all tressel tables and chairs when not in use and any other stored items.
Best of all, we will have a uni-sex bathroom in there too.
With hopes to have this project completed by the end of March, we welcome you to come and check out the new area overlooking the pool. Stay and exchange a book or puzzle, watch some TV or just socialize with everyone else. It will be plenty of fun 🙂
Well, all things are full steam ahead getting ready for business. One week to go and there will be a splash of Aussie in South East Georgia.
Come visit us and experience the excitement!!
